I did so remember

a book with a hard cover
lying open with ink spilled
soaked pages, blood of the mind
black and white
an image

a tree with a single syllabled name
the bark was smooth yet rough
dew stained petals of the lone blossom
tides of wind
called my name

a stretch of green
my heart held on to it
footstools made by rocks weathered

I had a cloak
hugging my arms with smooth textile
a gift from a world beyond
drawn across my face the hood

fingering orange and yellow
golden paper
leaves so vivid i see

sunlight streams in
a morning
where it was all gone
spent months resounding only
in my soul
my blood

wow i've never written anything like that. it's...... different. yeah.
actually at first it was just one chunk. i decided to make it easier to read by putting in the versing. if you like you can read it all at once to see the effect =)
not sure what i'm writing about either. sometimes it's just the phrases that are hovering in my mind at that time. the autumn thing comes from a book i borrowed today. "the october country" seems real nice. it began with a little piece on an autumn country, so yeah. the blood thing was cause i saw doro's hand haha. she wrote this line of a song on the back of her hand in green ink, just where a vein would be if you looked closely. so then i started thinking about words and blood.... i dunno. it's a bit creepy yeah? but an interesting image...

at this rate i'm gonna be way past 42 posts a year XD. maybe i'll aim for something else. 100?

but writing is good for the soul! XD

discovered that i pick up things from the ppl around me real easy. like phrases and actions and stuff. unconsciously picked up whee from.... i dunno it was a long time ago. abi maybe? the "good for the soul" thing comes from dom, though i didn't realise that till i said it once in front of him and he's like "hey that's my line!" haha. then i read this book where the girl would bite the end of her pencil when thinking, and i think lately my pen has been straying rather close to my mouth XD. haha that sounded weird. but yeah...
