cold shower

had a rather whee day today...

woke up in a bright, sunny mood.... like i was popping up XD haha
mmm got ready for school as usual. had to wake up my roommate cause i think she forgot to set her alarm clock and she wasn't awake even by 7.15. walked down thinking .... hmm... i wish i could eat a muffin.... maybe the chocolate kind they sell at the good news cafe.... real ex but whee i feel like treating myself today....
and i turned the corner and found that they were serving chocolate muffins for breakfast
(haha i know it's weird to serve chocolate muffins for breakfast but that's the hostel food for you XD)

erm yeah. yum. finished and walked up to the concourse. noticed that people were wearing PE underneath their uniforms and realised i had forgot to bring mine. so i went up and got mine... arrived back just in time. chin whee and elaine were both absent from assembly so there was a lot of extra space in the front of the line and i got to stand in front. blahblhablha then darryl and dom made a really amusing announcement during assembly XD it was like one of their usual conversations with a bit of extra randomness thrown in and the pointlessness magnified 10 times. but that was the point. in a way. if you get what i mean. advertising for the you've got it thing...

had english. ANOTHER essay ...... really. we write one every lesson now...
i chose "people nowadays are greedy and selfish" ... i think i did the topic some justice....

during the break we had a typical nushighian discussion on languages and things - we wrote in more than 4 languages on an A5 piece of paper, discussing conjugations and pronunciations and various amusing experiences in tamil/jap/french classes. whee.

i find that one thing we're really good at in this school is talking about something academic related and mixing it with jokes/random other things and making it actually FUN to talk about XD

then pe. interestingly, we didn't blade today, as expected. apparently they hadn't brought enough gear and stuff for all of us, so the advance class had our lesson extended to another day - at east coast park =). meanwhile, we got to play captain's ball with the instructor (who is really fun XD ) well most of us anyway. me and lynn went off to go running instead cause well, once guys play captains ball, the girls don't really get to play anymore. unless you're really good like elaine or eliza or the other netball girls. so we ran... i ran 6 rounds and she ran 7. she's really good =) apparently she goes training like twice a week. ooooooo

yep and afterwards i tried the beef stew rice from the western stall for lunch. and had milk tea ( nice =) =) =) ) and bought some m&ms cause i miss eating them. went up to art early with dom cause he wanted to get started earlier. he squashed his piece last week and started from scratch today haha. oh yeah. we're making clay heads. mine turned out... ok. but i think there's something really wrong with the head shape and the lips. eh. and i didn't even add hair. looks somewhat like a doll head.... but i'm proud of it. fun =)

oh yeah! some of my artwork is displayed at the cultural museum at nus. whee =) my wood carving and i spotted one of my heads too. clay head that is. not my real one... XD
oo the artwork displayed is really cool... i love the chalk drawing of the puppy - i swear it looks like a photo. apparently debbie (that's the artist's name) spent like over 2 months on it... wow... it's REALLY nice....

erm after art had chinese. boring as usual...

then went for maths remedial with divya and dom and movin... we were planning to get out early cause we wanted to go to NLB to study physics. so we stayed for a while... headed off at 4 plus
note to self: to get to NUS (cultural museum, central library, faculty of arts & social sciences etc) take 96 or 151 from the stop across the overhead bridge from the front gate. to get to jurong library, take 97 or 197 from the stop all the way across the overhead bridge from the back gate. whee =)

in the end divya couldn't come along so only the three of us went. dom realised that he had forgotten his wallet (left it in art class) and had to call darryl to check on it. thankfully he found it. whee =)

erm we went to the third floor of the library and tried to find seats at the tables but they were all full. so we sat around one of the couch-seat thingies and used it as a table. got quite a lot done while having lots of fun being sentimental and random.
and guess what? you know the theory that every time an nus high student goes to jurong library, they'll always find someone else from nus high there? it's been true every time i've gone so far. but today it wasn't! ahh!!! oh no!!!

XD anyway, we went down and bought some food before leaving and taking the bus back to school. had dinner. the food was gooooooood. chicken in a basket from a shop starting with g on the first floor of the library (haha i can't remember the name) really ex but really worth it =) yummmm

finished and dom left. went upstairs to do my laundry and then went back down for a shower. the heater broke today so i ended up taking a really ice cold shower (it rained today!!!) and it was really nice!!! haha... like when i take cold showers.. felt like i was a dolphin or something and i was swimming around haha... whee. i should really consider taking cold showers more often. but warm showers are goooood
