I think the purpose of a blog is to share things. To share moments, ideas, thoughts, experiences and your own original creations. That's what I'll do in this "space" of mine. I hope you'll enjoy reading them!
This is a photo I took of some clouds when I was on a plane. Don't you think it looks nice? I like how the sunlight hits the cloud and the beautiful deep blue of the sky behind it.
Don't ask me what kind of cloud it is! :P
Chinese New Year is coming, and today we had our Chinese New Year celebration at school! It was really nice. At least nicer than last year's. There was a performance by the string ensemble, 2 pieces by the Chinese orchestra (of course), the dance club's vibrant fuse of traditional and contemporary dancing, a humorous and thouroughly enjoyed cross talk between Charmaine and Ying Zhen, a Chinese New Year quiz by Chui Yi and Wan Yu and a sort of combined performance by the teachers featuring tai-chi, chinese caligraphy and chinese music all at the same time. There was a standing ovation for that performance. It was really cool how there were so many things going on at once, and they ended at almost the same time. Very nice.
Then we got let off at 10 o'clock!! So cool, but we all thought it wasn't worth coming to school for just 1 hour and 45 minutes. Haha.
I then went back to my old primary school with Stephy and Jia Ying and Lynn. Met a whole lot of teachers. We managed to force Mrs Chu to accept Stephanie's mandarin oranges by stuffing one into her bag and putting one onto her desk and then running away saying "Bye Mrs Chu! You need to attand to your class now right?" She insists on not accepting gifts. Quite funny really, but it does cause her a lot of trouble! :P haha..
Then we met a whole lot of 6A 2004 crew! Sameerah, Laura, Carmen, Denise, Estelle all showed up as well. We also got a glimpse of Huiling, but she didn't come along.
We ended up going to Plaza Singapura to watch a movie, I Not Stupid Too. This is actually the sequel to I Not Stupid, a film about Singaporean students and their parents and stuff. It's a very nice movie really, and the message is strong. But the bad thing was that the tickets were all sold out!! Only the 5 that had pre-booked the tickets through the internet got to watch. Jia Ying and me and my sisters ended up in Times reading the afternoon away. Oh well.
That's pretty much my day, and people kept telling me that I looked pretty in the Chinese New Year costume that I had worn to school. That's very nice, to have someone tell you something good about you.
Oh and my handphone ran out of batteries. haha. That's all. :)
