i suppose i could tell you but then again
no
hey guys you lost
been having interesting conversations lately, with... janel and dylan, and divya and yi herng.
today was... odd
started with the milo
i carried it to my table in the morning. it spilled.
it never spills like that.
then the rain.
i went up earlier than usual and sat there. the wind suddenly picked up, a cold, soft, slithering wind, the kind that carries the rain with it. a few minutes later the storm broke, just after the bell rang.
mm...
divya got news after assembly about intan. she was really shocked about it. wow... i was shocked, but not as much as her. in class she started looking really down. for a while she thought it was a lie, because intan replied to an sms saying "i'm late?" with a question mark so it was kinda ambiguous what she meant. later on during chinese ljl confirmed everything. we went down after chinese to check on her...
hmm
there was the whole module selecting thing. it was... -the- day, where we had to make a choice that would turn our paths in life. worries that i would regret my choice... what if art was useless? i loved it so much i doubt that i would ever regret taking it, but what if dropping physics would somehow prevent me from doing something i would later figure out that i liked... i have a mild interest in architecture, for example, but.... blah.
the night before dom was having doubts with his choice, and was considering doing triple science. it was extremely sudden, but
strangely, i somehow knew this would happen. perhaps it comes from the fact that i can tell that art is not his passion - he likes it yes, he enjoys it, because it lets him have a channel for his creativity. but i've seen the way he dabbles in linguistics, in music, in video making and editing... there is a difference i suppose. i'm not sure what it is... and perhaps it comes from the fact that i somehow knew we wouldn't be in the same class soon...
blah
and even though he says he's still considering, i know that he'll probably choose physics in the end. and i'm being stupid about this and feeling all sad about it. heh.
i am thankful that i've known what i'd be choosing since last year. it was a simple choice between lit and art, and i chose art because it was has been my lifelong friend and it was more... brain-friendly. so this sem i didn't take the only module that would make the difference between me majoring lit and art - sci fi. so yeah. i have an affinity towards bio... it's easy for me i suppose. chem i find interesting though i do so badly at it. physics... i like it, there are parts of it i really enjoy, but i don't see myself ever getting into anything involving it. engineering? bleh. i know nothing about it. and it's the only thing that crucially needs physics.
i know my choice is probably fine. major chem, honour bio, honour or major maths depending on grades (i don't really mind either), major art. it's a choice i've been so sure of since a while ago that i have trouble believing that it could be the right one. haha. mm...
most of the morning was spent feeling down and worrying about people. divya was down cause of the intan thing. thank God she was alright, she was discharged somewhere around lunch time. dom was worrying about the physics thing. he's really changed, for the better i suppose. i still remember him in year one XD movin and the rest of us were worrying about divya, shudder was super tired... it was dylan's birthday. i put in $5 for the group present thing... a huge warcraft board game XD i was being silly and sad.
abi came by during lunch. talked about random things. she had to leave cause of an appoinment.
how is it that the subject i am the most disinterested in turns out to be the highest subject CAP i've ever had? 5.0 for physics last sem. the closest to it is art, 4.75. my physics has become surprisingly good lately, though the reason for it is a mystery. i am super blur in class. all i do is study before the tests... heh. strange....
mmm
drama was spent talking about our progress in the play so far, which has been going worryingly slowly, and watching a film called rozencratz and guildenstern are dead. i've read the script before... it's a play based on the minor characters in hamlet. it's wonderfully written. wittyly funny. a definite recommend.
after that movin and i (haha grammar) stayed back to talk to ms bong about the feasibility of doing a musical, which i've wanted ever since year 2, cause of the utter musicalness of the current batch. movin, doro, dom, sharne, skunk? and anyone else really, i haven't heard them all sing. thing is that a musical requires... the involvement of the whole school. the orchestra, the choir, dance if needed... plus the fact that year 5s end CCA at about.. now next year, so rehearsals will be a problem. budget is another... the school isn't exactly overenthusiastic about the arts. hurm...
i really want to do one though, not only because there is so much talent in the school that needs showcasing... but also cause i want to do something good and final, something big enough to go beyond a forced school audience, before i leave this place. i don't want to leave drama knowing that the only things i've done are a few school plays and a video all the way back in year 1. i have learnt to enjoy drama, and it's certainly taught me stuff. i want to show that i can do something in it.
the juniors in the club now don't seem that enthu about CCA... maybe it's because there hasn't been enough progress in general. i know our club is lacking something... besides a few exceptions, i know that if it came to commitment they probably wouldn't bother. meh...
was talking to divya and yi herng after that... somehow they view drama as the most interesting CCA in our school... perhaps thanks to the oyster boy play last year, which was a success i would say, and also cause we're the only CCA that's marked by a few noticeable personalities that stick together outside CCA time... darryl, sam, dom, movin, doro bunch as a whole. and it's fun really. just that i feel we could do so much more...
wheeeee whatever
after that we went for kenwei's recital. he sang in italian, german, french, english, and even chinese XDD he also played the flute. i've always found flute to be one of the most elegant sounding instruments. it was nice overall. i liked the german song XDD
after that we were feeling random and went for prata.
seriously! XDD
at 8 the three of us trouped out of school and took 188. divya went to drop off her stuff and i saw amber again. ahhhh so sad i can't pat her. anyway we walked to the prata shop and had dinner. haha. i was broke XDD cause i bought the student Adobe pack thing.... whee!!! happy!!! i have photoshop now!! i have a feeling it's going to come in handy, especially next year, with art and all. and it was really cheap compared to the usual market price.... yay....
the prata there is excellent.
we just ate and talked. it was fun XD so random. i've never been out with yi herng before so it was interesting. we ended up talking about school and people... haha. mm....
took the bus back, and went back to the hostel. there was weird loud music coming from the school. apparently they were testing the speakers for the makeshift stage for something....
and yeah, that was pretty much it. i've been having so many ideas for stories lately i just wish i had the time to write it all down. blah. studying maths tomorrow. hahah i'm getting so lost in maths.
mmm
whee
sleep. is a good thing....
